SpaceX's Starship experienced a Raptor engine malfunction during its latest uncrewed test flight, potentially impacting NASA's Artemis program aiming for a 2028 lunar return. The Starship is crucial as one of two lunar landers being developed for the mission. Engine issues have plagued previous Starship tests, raising concerns about its development schedule. NASA plans to use whichever lander, Starship or Blue Origin's Blue Moon, is ready first for the Artemis III mission, which is targeted for 2027.
