Delhi Implements GRAP-1 Measures Amid Rising Air Pollution Levels

Delhi has activated the first stage of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP-1) as air quality deteriorates, with the AQI reaching 244. Measures include doubling parking fees across the city, excluding metro stations, to discourage private vehicle use. Stricter checks will be enforced on polluting vehicles, and construction activities will face increased scrutiny. Government offices will implement staggered timings and work-from-home policies to reduce traffic congestion. Anti-smog guns and mist spray units are deployed to combat dust pollution.

दिल्ली में वायु गुणवत्ता बिगड़ने के साथ ही ग्रेडेड रिस्पांस एक्शन प्लान (GRAP-1) का पहला चरण सक्रिय कर दिया गया है, AQI 244 तक पहुँच गया है। निजी वाहनों के इस्तेमाल को हतोत्साहित करने के लिए मेट्रो स्टेशनों को छोड़कर पूरे शहर में पार्किंग शुल्क दोगुना कर दिया गया है। प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले वाहनों पर कड़ी जांच की जाएगी और निर्माण गतिविधियों पर अधिक ध्यान दिया जाएगा। यातायात जाम को कम करने के लिए सरकारी कार्यालयों में अलग-अलग समय और वर्क-फ्रॉम-होम नीतियां लागू की जाएंगी। धूल प्रदूषण से निपटने के लिए एंटी-स्मॉग गन और मिस्ट स्प्रे यूनिट तैनात की गई हैं।
