Singer Indranil Sen Faces New Charges in Puja Pass Scam

Kolkata police's Special Investigation Team has moved a court to add fresh charges against former state minister and singer Indranil Sen, arrested for allegedly siphoning off crores through Durga Puja pass sales. The SIT seeks to include Sections 2 and 9 of the West Bengal Maintenance of Public Order Act, related to unlawfully acquiring money and assets. Sen claims deposits in his five bank accounts are from performances, but police suspect funds were diverted. His daughter has also been summoned, citing ill health.

कोलकाता पुलिस की स्पेशल इन्वेस्टिगेशन टीम (SIT) ने पूर्व मंत्री और गायक इंद्रनील सेन के खिलाफ नए आरोप जोड़ने के लिए कोर्ट में अर्जी दी है। इंद्रनील सेन दुर्गा पूजा पास की बिक्री के जरिए करोड़ों रुपये की हेराफेरी के आरोप में गिरफ्तार हुए हैं। SIT पश्चिम बंगाल सार्वजनिक व्यवस्था रखरखाव अधिनियम की धारा 2 और 9 को जोड़ना चाहती है, जो अवैध रूप से धन और संपत्ति हासिल करने से संबंधित हैं। सेन का दावा है कि उनके पांच बैंक खातों में जमा राशि उनके गायन प्रदर्शनों से आई है, लेकिन पुलिस को शक है कि फंड को डायवर्ट किया गया था। उनकी बेटी को भी बुलाया गया है, लेकिन उसने खराब स्वास्थ्य का हवाला दिया है।
