Engineering Student's Body Found Trapped in Fisherman's Net

A 19-year-old engineering student, Ripam Das, drowned in the Damodar River in West Bengal's Purba Bardhaman district while bathing with friends. His body was discovered the following morning, entangled in a fisherman's net about a kilometer from where he went missing. The incident occurred at Shilla Ghat in the Galsi police station area. Ripam had gone to the river with four friends afternoon and disappeared after venturing into deeper water. The local MLA has offered financial assistance to the grieving family as police investigate the tragic drowning.

पश्चिम बंगाल के पुरबा बर्धमान जिले में दामोदर नदी में दोस्तों के साथ नहाने के दौरान 19 वर्षीय इंजीनियरिंग छात्र रिपम दास डूब गया। उसका शव अगली सुबह, जहाँ से वह लापता हुआ था, वहाँ से लगभग एक किलोमीटर दूर एक मछुआरे के जाल में फंसा हुआ मिला। यह घटना गल्सी पुलिस स्टेशन क्षेत्र के शिलला घाट पर हुई। रिपम दोपहर में चार दोस्तों के साथ नदी गया था और गहरे पानी में जाने के बाद गायब हो गया। स्थानीय MLA ने दुखी परिवार को आर्थिक सहायता की पेशकश की है, जबकि पुलिस इस दुखद डूबने की घटना की जांच कर रही है।
