Kazakhstan to Buy 11 BCM Gas From Gazprom

Kazakhstan plans to significantly increase its natural gas purchases from Russia's Gazprom, agreeing to buy approximately 11 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2026. This marks a substantial rise from the 4 bcm acquired in the previous year. Discussions are also underway for potential supplies of around 9 bcm in 2027. The increased imports are intended to address minor technical issues encountered at Kazakhstan's major domestic gas fields this year.

कजाकिस्तान रूस की Gazprom से प्राकृतिक गैस की खरीद काफी बढ़ाने वाला है। 2026 में करीब 11 बिलियन क्यूबिक मीटर (bcm) गैस खरीदने पर सहमति बनी है, जो पिछले साल की 4 bcm की खरीद से काफी ज्यादा है। 2027 में लगभग 9 bcm गैस की सप्लाई पर भी बात चल रही है। यह कदम इस साल कजाकिस्तान के बड़े घरेलू गैस फील्ड में आई छोटी-मोटी तकनीकी दिक्कतों को दूर करने के लिए उठाया जा रहा है।
