A man from Delhi, identified as Ameen, was apprehended at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport for soliciting money from passengers. He falsely claimed to have lost his bag or purse and requested financial assistance for his return journey. Instead of cash, Ameen used QR codes to receive digital payments from unsuspecting travelers. CISF personnel became suspicious of his activities and handed him over to the airport police for further investigation. Authorities are now exploring the possibility of a wider network operating similarly at other airports.
