A Delhi court has permitted American mercenary Matthew Aaron VanDyke and six Ukrainian nationals to remain outside India until February 24. VanDyke and the Ukrainians were arrested in March 2026 by the NIA for allegedly providing weapons and drone-warfare training to ethnic armed groups in Myanmar. The central probing agency requested more time for investigation. VanDyke, who was granted default bail, questioned the case's continuation and cited financial difficulties as his reason for acting as his own lawyer.
