Uttar Pradesh experienced severe rainfall, recording 97.6 mm in 48 hours, significantly above the average. This heavy downpour and storms resulted in 56 deaths and injured 46 people across the state. Over 1,020 houses were damaged, and 107 animals perished due to rain-related incidents. Excessive rainfall was noted in 56 out of 75 districts, with casualty figures potentially rising as data compilation continues. The adverse weather has now largely subsided, concentrating in the Terai region.
