CJP के प्रवक्ताओं सौरभ दास और आशुतोष रंका ने मजिस्ट्रेट कोर्ट द्वारा उनकी न्यायिक हिरासत बढ़ाने को चुनौती दी है। उन्होंने दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट में एक याचिका दायर की है। उनका तर्क है कि विशेष कार्यकारी मजिस्ट्रेट का आदेश कानूनी रूप से त्रुटिपूर्ण है, जिसमें जमानत देने और हिरासत बढ़ाने के लिए पर्याप्त आधार नहीं हैं। मजिस्ट्रेट कोर्ट ने बॉन्ड के जानबूझकर उल्लंघन और बाद की विघटनकारी गतिविधियों का हवाला देते हुए उनकी न्यायिक हिरासत दो दिनों के लिए बढ़ा दी थी। वकीलों ने अदालत की छुट्टियों के दौरान तत्काल सुनवाई की मांग की, इस बात पर जोर देते हुए कि नेताओं को राजनीतिक कारणों से जेल में नहीं रहना चाहिए।
