The QS World University Rankings: Asia 2027 show India's IIT Delhi as the highest-ranked institution at 66th, a slip from 59th. Despite a larger presence with 325 universities ranked, all six of India's top institutions have fallen in position. The University of Delhi also dropped out of the top 100, now at 106th. While India has more universities in the top 200, a significant 71% of its ranked institutions saw a decline, indicating challenges in maintaining competitive positions against regional rivals.
