Residents of Uttarakhand's Bageshwar, Berinag, and Srinagar experienced cinema on the big screen for the first time through temporary theatres. Filmmaker Vinod Kapri organised screenings of his film 'Pyre' ahead of its release, bringing the movie magic to towns lacking permanent cinema halls. The initiative aims to take cinema to remote areas, offering an accessible cultural experience. The film itself, set in a local village, explores themes of migration and loneliness among the elderly, with its lead actors also being local residents.

उत्तराखंड के बागेश्वर, बेरीनाग और श्रीनगर के लोगों ने पहली बार अस्थायी थिएटरों के ज़रिए बड़े पर्दे पर सिनेमा का अनुभव किया। फिल्म निर्माता विनोद कापड़ी ने अपनी फिल्म 'पायर' की रिलीज़ से पहले स्क्रीनिंग का आयोजन किया, जिससे उन कस्बों में भी फिल्म का जादू पहुँचा जहाँ स्थायी सिनेमा हॉल नहीं हैं। इस पहल का मकसद सिनेमा को दूरदराज के इलाकों तक ले जाना है, जिससे एक सुलभ सांस्कृतिक अनुभव मिल सके। फिल्म खुद एक स्थानीय गाँव में आधारित है, जो बुजुर्गों के बीच पलायन और अकेलेपन के विषयों को दर्शाती है, और इसके मुख्य कलाकार भी स्थानीय निवासी हैं।
