Prediction-market startup Kalshi has launched a new perpetual futures contract linked to its US 500 index, which tracks 500 major US companies. This move expands Kalshi into the derivatives market, aiming to compete with traditional exchanges. Perpetual futures, or 'perps', allow indefinite trading positions without contract rollovers.
