UP Schoolbooks To Feature Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla's Space

Uttar Pradesh Class V students will soon learn about Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla's journey to the International Space Station (ISS). His experience of viewing Earth from space will be included in their environmental studies textbook, 'Hamara Adbhut Sansar'. The State Institute of Education is revising the NCERT book to incorporate this contemporary reference. Shukla, an Indian Air Force test pilot from Lucknow, is the first Indian in 41 years to travel to space and visit the ISS.
