Tamil Nadu Rural Workers Receive Only 10 Days Work in 91 Days Under VB-G RAM

Rural workers in Tamil Nadu have received an average of just 10 days of employment in the first 91 days of the VB-G RAM G scheme, significantly short of the promised 150 days under the Vetri 150 scheme. Many workers are receiving only five to six days of employment, with work opportunities limited by officials reducing the number of workers per worksite. This situation affects nearly 80 lakh active workers across the state, with some panchayats seeing no work generated at all.

तमिलनाडु के ग्रामीण श्रमिकों को VB-G RAM G योजना के पहले 91 दिनों में औसतन सिर्फ 10 दिन का रोजगार मिला है, जो Vetri 150 योजना के तहत वादा किए गए 150 दिनों से काफी कम है। कई श्रमिकों को केवल पांच से छह दिन का रोजगार मिल रहा है, और अधिकारियों द्वारा प्रति कार्यस्थल श्रमिकों की संख्या कम करने से काम के अवसर सीमित हो गए हैं। यह स्थिति राज्य भर में लगभग 80 लाख सक्रिय श्रमिकों को प्रभावित करती है, कुछ पंचायतों में तो बिल्कुल भी काम उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ है।
