Cyclone Murasu has made landfall on India's eastern coast, bringing heavy rains, uprooting trees, and toppling electricity poles. The severe cyclonic storm came ashore near Ongole in Andhra Pradesh, flooding low-lying areas. Authorities had planned to evacuate approximately 30,000 people ahead of the storm. This is the second cyclone to strike the region in a week, following Cyclone Arnab. While no deaths or injuries have been reported, extensive damage to crops and infrastructure has occurred.
