Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has stated that the 'Ladli Behna Yojana' is imposing a significant financial burden on the state government. He admitted that upon taking office, he underestimated the scheme's economic impact. Initially providing ₹1,000 monthly, the scheme's payout was later increased to ₹1,250, with a BJP government target to raise it to ₹3,000. Opposition leader Umang Singhar criticized the government, calling the scheme a 'burden' after elections. Since its June 2023 launch, over ₹65,395 crore has been disbursed.

मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव ने कहा है कि 'लाडली बहना योजना' राज्य सरकार पर एक बड़ा वित्तीय बोझ डाल रही है। उन्होंने माना कि पदभार संभालने पर उन्होंने इस योजना के आर्थिक प्रभाव को कम आंका था। शुरुआत में ₹1,000 हर महीने देने वाली इस योजना की राशि बाद में बढ़ाकर ₹1,250 कर दी गई थी, और बीजेपी सरकार का लक्ष्य इसे ₹3,000 तक ले जाना है। विपक्ष के नेता उमंग सिंघार ने सरकार की आलोचना करते हुए इस योजना को चुनाव के बाद 'बोझ' बताया। जून 2023 में शुरू होने के बाद से ₹65,395 करोड़ से ज़्यादा बांटे जा चुके हैं।
