A male tiger, estimated to be six to seven years old, was fatally struck by the Palaruvi Express on the Kollam-Senkottai railway route early Wednesday morning. The collision occurred around 2 a.m. near kilometre stone 676, between Senkottai and Bhagavathipuram. Forest officials took custody of the carcass for a post-mortem examination.
