Elon Musk has accused unnamed "oligarchs" of attempting to block Starlink's launch in India, alleging they seek to maintain a monopolistic hold on the satcom space. The Indian government has refuted these claims, stating the regulatory framework is fair and non-discriminatory. All three licensed operators, including Starlink, Jio, and OneWeb, are currently awaiting security clearance from the Home Affairs Ministry before they can commercially launch their services. Despite significant infrastructure investments by all contenders, concerns over national security risks persist among government officials.
