Pune Collects 900 Tonnes Waste, 6.7L Idols Immersed

Pune Municipal Corporation collected over 900 tonnes of waste and 7.15 lakh kg of floral offerings during the 12-day Ganesh festival. More than 6.77 lakh Ganesh idols were immersed using the civic body's facilities. PMC had appealed to residents to use designated immersion tanks and collection points to prevent river pollution, receiving a positive response. The corporation deployed significant resources, including vehicles and sanitation workers, to manage the festival and maintain cleanliness across the city.
