PM Modi: No Cut-Money Culture in Bengal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that West Bengal no longer has a "cut-money" culture, referring to the elimination of commissions taken by local politicians. He made these remarks during a virtual address while releasing the fourth instalment of the Annapurna Yojana. The scheme directly transfers ₹3,000 to around 1.5 crore women beneficiaries in the state, ensuring funds reach them without intermediaries.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा कि पश्चिम बंगाल से "कट-मनी" की संस्कृति खत्म हो गई है। उन्होंने यह बात अन्नपूर्णा योजना की चौथी किस्त जारी करते हुए कही। इस योजना के तहत राज्य की करीब डेढ़ करोड़ महिलाओं को सीधे ₹3,000 दिए जाते हैं, जिससे बिचौलियों के बिना पैसा उन तक पहुँचता है।
