Ladakh's First Government Medical College Gets Centre's Approval For 2027-28

Ladakh's first Government Medical College in Leh has received approval from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for operationalisation starting the 2027-28 academic year. This development allows for the phased recruitment of 103 sanctioned regular posts to support the college's academic requirements. The college aims to expand medical education opportunities within the Union Territory and strengthen healthcare services. Interim facilities, including two newly constructed buildings and the existing SNM Hospital, will be utilized until dedicated infrastructure is completed.

लेह में लद्दाख के पहले सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेज को स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय से 2027-28 शैक्षणिक वर्ष से शुरू होने वाले संचालन के लिए मंजूरी मिल गई है। इस विकास से कॉलेज की शैक्षणिक आवश्यकताओं का समर्थन करने के लिए 103 स्वीकृत नियमित पदों की चरणबद्ध भर्ती की अनुमति मिलती है। कॉलेज का लक्ष्य केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के भीतर चिकित्सा शिक्षा के अवसरों का विस्तार करना और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को मजबूत करना है। जब तक समर्पित बुनियादी ढांचा पूरा नहीं हो जाता, तब तक दो नई निर्मित इमारतों और मौजूदा SNM अस्पताल सहित अंतरिम सुविधाओं का उपयोग किया जाएगा।
