Modern dishwashers can clean oily Indian utensils using hot water, jets, and detergent, but challenges remain with heavily dried-on grease. Stainless-steel items are generally manageable, but non-stick, cast iron, copper, and brass cookware require caution and checking manufacturer instructions. Pressure cooker bodies might be dishwasher-safe, but components like gaskets often need manual cleaning. While dishwashers offer convenience, some manual scraping or attention to specific materials and parts is still necessary for optimal results in Indian kitchens.
