Hyderabad's municipal corporations have identified approximately 1,500 unauthorized buildings under construction in just a few weeks, matching a full year's previous violations. Cyberabad Municipal Corporation has already demolished around 500 structures, while GHMC and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation are taking action on another 1,000. This intensified crackdown follows recent incidents of building collapses and tilting, highlighting significant safety risks. The drive primarily targets multi-floor illegal constructions on small plots, with officials focusing on structures in the centring stage to prevent further deviations from approved plans.
