Shilp Samagam Mela Concludes in Mysuru, Next Edition Begins in Guwahati

The nine-day Shilp Samagam Mela in Mysuru, which provided a marketing platform for artisans from 12 states, has concluded. The fair drew thousands of visitors to the Dasara Exhibition Grounds. The next edition is set to begin in Guwahati on Wednesday, featuring 75 artisans showcasing traditional handloom and handicraft products. Organised by the Union ministry of social justice and empowerment, the initiative aims to strengthen market access and create livelihood opportunities for disadvantaged communities. The Guwahati fair will run until October 28.

मैसूर में नौ दिवसीय शिल्प समागम मेला, जिसने 12 राज्यों के कारीगरों के लिए एक मार्केटिंग प्लेटफॉर्म प्रदान किया, संपन्न हो गया है। इस मेले में दशहरा प्रदर्शनी मैदान में हजारों आगंतुक आए। अगला संस्करण बुधवार को गुवाहाटी में शुरू होने वाला है, जिसमें 75 कारीगर पारंपरिक हथकरघा और हस्तशिल्प उत्पादों का प्रदर्शन करेंगे। यह पहल केंद्रीय सामाजिक न्याय और सशक्तिकरण मंत्रालय द्वारा आयोजित की गई है, जिसका उद्देश्य वंचित समुदायों के लिए बाजार पहुंच को मजबूत करना और आजीविका के अवसर पैदा करना है। गुवाहाटी मेला 28 अक्टूबर तक चलेगा।
