केरल सरकार ने 'मेट्रो मैन' ई. श्रीधरन के महत्वाकांक्षी सौर ऊर्जा से चलने वाले रेल प्रोजेक्ट पर रोक लगा दी है। भारतीय रेलवे को ज़्यादा टिकाऊ और सस्ता बनाने का लक्ष्य रखने वाले इस प्रोजेक्ट में कई बड़ी दिक्कतें आ रही थीं। राज्य सरकार ने पैसों की कमी और आगे की व्यवहार्यता अध्ययन की ज़रूरत को इस देरी का कारण बताया है।
