Scammers are using fake social media pages to advertise tickets at attractive prices, directing buyers to WhatsApp. They collect personal details and demand advance payments, followed by additional charges for GST, processing, and verification. Victims are threatened with forfeiture of initial payments if they refuse further demands.

केरल पुलिस ने ऑनलाइन ठगों के खिलाफ चेतावनी जारी की है। ये ठग तिरुवनंतपुरम में रविवार को होने वाले इंडिया-वेस्टइंडीज वनडे मैच के नकली टिकट बेच रहे हैं। स्कैमर आकर्षक कीमतों पर टिकट बेचने के लिए नकली सोशल मीडिया पेज का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं और खरीदारों को WhatsApp पर भेज रहे हैं। वे व्यक्तिगत जानकारी लेते हैं और एडवांस पेमेंट मांगते हैं, फिर GST, प्रोसेसिंग और वेरिफिकेशन के लिए अतिरिक्त पैसे वसूलते हैं।
