Town Planning Official Caught Accepting ₹3 Lakh Bribe in Yadgir

A Member Secretary of the Town Planning Office in Manvi, Yadgir, and his driver were apprehended by the Lokayukta police for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹3 lakh. The officials were caught red-handed at the Yadgir Urban Development Authority office. The bribe was demanded to facilitate the conversion of non-agricultural sites into commercial land. A resident of Manvi town had lodged a complaint against the accused. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigations are ongoing.

यादगीर के मांवी स्थित टाउन प्लानिंग ऑफिस के सदस्य सचिव और उनके ड्राइवर को ₹3 लाख की रिश्वत लेते हुए लोकायुक्त पुलिस ने पकड़ा है। ये अधिकारी यादगीर शहरी विकास प्राधिकरण के दफ्तर में रंगे हाथों पकड़े गए। यह रिश्वत गैर-कृषि भूमि को व्यावसायिक भूमि में बदलने में मदद करने के लिए मांगी गई थी। मांवी शहर के एक निवासी ने आरोपियों के खिलाफ शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी। भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है और आगे की जांच जारी है।
