Ladakh Gets Eighth District With Sankoo As New Administrative Unit

The Union Territory of Ladakh has been granted a new district named Sankoo, bringing the total number of districts to eight. The Ladakh administration issued a notification, establishing Sankoo as a new district with its headquarters located in Sankoo itself. This new district will comprise four tehsils: Sankoo, GM Pore, TSG, and Taisuru, along with their associated revenue villages. The creation of Sankoo district also involves a revision of the jurisdiction of the Kargil district, from which these tehsils and villages have been removed.

लद्दाख को मिला आठवां जिला सकू बना नया प्रशासनिक इकाई

केंद्र शासित प्रदेश लद्दाख को संकू नाम का एक नया जिला मिला है, जिससे जिलों की कुल संख्या आठ हो गई है। लद्दाख प्रशासन ने एक अधिसूचना जारी कर संकू को इसके मुख्यालय के साथ एक नए जिले के रूप में स्थापित किया है। इस नए जिले में चार तहसीलें शामिल होंगी: संकू, जीएम पोर, टीएसजी और ताइसरू, साथ ही उनसे जुड़े राजस्व गांव भी। संकू जिले के निर्माण में कारगिल जिले के अधिकार क्षेत्र में भी संशोधन शामिल है, जिससे ये तहसीलें और गांव हटा दिए गए हैं।
