Sydney Turns Food Waste Into Electricity

Australia's EarthPower facility in Sydney is converting 62,500 tonnes of food waste annually into biogas and electricity. This process uses anaerobic digestion to break down organic materials, generating power for approximately 4,000 homes. The facility also produces a soil improver from the remaining waste. This initiative transforms discarded food, a significant component of municipal waste, into a valuable resource, reducing landfill burden and creating energy.

सिडनी में खाने के कचरे से बिजली बनाई गई

ऑस्ट्रेलिया के सिडनी में अर्थपावर (EarthPower) प्लांट हर साल 62,500 टन खाने के कचरे को बायोगैस और बिजली में बदल रहा है। इस प्रक्रिया में, जैविक सामग्री को तोड़कर लगभग 4,000 घरों के लिए बिजली बनाई जाती है। बचे हुए कचरे से खाद भी बनती है। यह पहल फेंके गए खाने को उपयोगी संसाधन बनाकर लैंडफिल का बोझ कम कर रही है और ऊर्जा पैदा कर रही है।
