21 Overseas Trainees Vow to Boost Silk Industry in Their Countries Post-Training

Twenty-one participants from 10 countries completed a four-week sericulture training program at CSRTI, Mysuru, organised under India's ITEC initiative. The training included lectures, practical sessions, and field visits. Participants from Bangladesh, Cuba, Ghana, and other nations shared their countries' sericulture status and challenges. They committed to using their acquired knowledge to strengthen their national silk industries and requested continued technical support. Central Silk Board member secretary P. Sivakumar highlighted opportunities in sericin-based products and silk carpets, emphasizing the need to strengthen the entire value chain.

सीएसआरटीआई, मैसूरु में भारत की आईटीईसी पहल के तहत आयोजित चार सप्ताह के रेशमकीट पालन प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम को 10 देशों के 21 प्रतिभागियों ने पूरा किया। प्रशिक्षण में व्याख्यान, व्यावहारिक सत्र और क्षेत्र का दौरा शामिल था। बांग्लादेश, क्यूबा, घाना और अन्य देशों के प्रतिभागियों ने अपने देशों की रेशमकीट पालन की स्थिति और चुनौतियों को साझा किया। उन्होंने अपने राष्ट्रीय रेशम उद्योगों को मजबूत करने के लिए प्राप्त ज्ञान का उपयोग करने का संकल्प लिया और निरंतर तकनीकी सहायता का अनुरोध किया। केंद्रीय रेशम बोर्ड के सदस्य सचिव पी. शिवकुमार ने सेरिसिन-आधारित उत्पादों और रेशम कालीनों में अवसरों पर प्रकाश डाला, और पूरी मूल्य श्रृंखला को मजबूत करने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया।
