Florida is urging a state judge to mandate changes to Facebook and Instagram, aiming to better protect young users. The state seeks to force Meta to identify and remove users under 14 within Florida, limit teen daily usage to two hours across all apps, and disable features like autoplay and infinite scroll. These proposed changes are more stringent than those agreed to in a settlement with nearly all other states. Meta argues Florida should focus on other platforms like YouTube and TikTok instead of pursuing this lawsuit.
