The Janata Dal (United) party has expelled MLA Anant Singh and his wife from its membership. The decision was taken after they allegedly defied party orders and actively campaigned for a rival candidate. Anant Singh, a politician known for his past criminal background, had openly supported Jan Suraaj Party's candidate Anuj Singh. This support was for the ongoing Bihar legislative council elections. The expulsion signifies the party's strict stance against internal dissent and cross-party campaigning.
