असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा का मानना है कि अगर बीजेपी 2031 में सभी 126 सीटों पर जीत हासिल करती है, तो यह नगांव में उनकी जीत से शुरू हो सकता है, जो उनका पारंपरिक गढ़ नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले महीने से जनता का रुझान बदला है और उन इलाकों में भी बीजेपी को समर्थन मिला है जहाँ उनके विधायक नहीं हैं। सरमा ने बताया कि मंत्री और विधायक नगांव में प्रचार कर रहे हैं।
