India Aims to Design, Manufacture Chips for Everyday

India aims to design and manufacture semiconductor chips for everyday products like cars, televisions, and refrigerators, as well as critical power infrastructure. Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated this vision as India seeks to build comprehensive chip-making capabilities. The government has committed Rs 1.27 lakh crore under the second phase of its semiconductor programme to expand the domestic ecosystem and attract investments.

भारत अब कारों, टीवी और फ्रिज जैसे आम सामानों के साथ-साथ पावर इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर के लिए भी सेमीकंडक्टर चिप्स बनाने की तैयारी कर रहा है। इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और आईटी मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने यह बात कही। भारत अपनी चिप बनाने की क्षमता को बढ़ाना चाहता है। सरकार ने इस प्रोग्राम के दूसरे चरण में 1.27 लाख करोड़ रुपये देने का ऐलान किया है, ताकि देश में चिप बनाने का माहौल बने और निवेश आए।
