Delhi to Deploy 60 CAPF Personnel Per District For Disaster Response

Delhi's cabinet has approved the creation of a 1,050-strong State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to tackle emergencies. Nearly 60 Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel will be stationed in each of the city's 13 districts, with an additional 300 on standby for rapid deployment. This new force will be trained for specialized search-and-rescue operations during building collapses, urban flooding, and earthquakes. The move aims to overcome challenges posed by congested roads and dense populations, improving response times and minimizing damage during disasters.
