लोकसभा में विपक्ष के नेता राहुल गांधी ने चुनाव आयोग के मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार पर देशद्रोह का आरोप लगाते हुए उन्हें पद से हटाने और मुकदमा चलाने की मांग की है। उनका कहना है कि मतदाता सूची में गड़बड़ी के सबूत उनके पास हैं। गांधी ने दावा किया कि विपक्ष के पास कुमार को पद से हटाने के लिए पर्याप्त सबूत हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि 13.3 करोड़ मतदाताओं, यानी भारत के कुल मतदाताओं का 15% को हटा दिया गया है, और 2024 के लोकसभा चुनावों की वैधता पर सवाल उठाया। गांधी ने चेतावनी दी कि वोट नष्ट करने की साजिश रचने वालों को अंजाम भुगतना पड़ेगा।
