KSEB Urges Public To Cut Power Use

The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has asked the public to voluntarily reduce electricity use between 7 p.m. and midnight due to high consumption in September. Daily electricity usage has reached 95.39 million units, with peak demand hitting 5,400 megawatts. KSEB also requested the Kerala Water Authority to shift water pumping to daytime and urged industries to move energy-sensitive processes to solar or off-peak hours to manage the current demand-supply situation.

केरल स्टेट इलेक्ट्रिसिटी बोर्ड (KSEB) ने लोगों से शाम 7 बजे से रात 12 बजे के बीच बिजली का इस्तेमाल कम करने को कहा है। सितंबर में बिजली की खपत बहुत बढ़ गई है। रोज़ाना 95.39 मिलियन यूनिट बिजली इस्तेमाल हो रही है और पीक डिमांड 5,400 मेगावाट तक पहुँच गई है। KSEB ने केरल वाटर अथॉरिटी से पानी पंपिंग दिन में करने और उद्योगों से ऊर्जा-संवेदनशील काम सोलर या ऑफ-पीक घंटों में करने का भी अनुरोध किया है।
