Madurai Residents Face Nightly Obstructions From Lorries

Residents of narrow Madurai streets are experiencing significant difficulties accessing their homes at night due to goods lorries parking and unloading. Streets like Naicker New Street and the Masi Streets become congested after 10 pm, blocking ambulances, private vehicles, and even residents' two-wheelers. This nightly disruption has led to delays in emergency services, such as an ambulance struggling to reach an elderly parent. Residents are also complaining about noise pollution from running diesel engines and unloading activities late into the night, affecting children.

मदुरै की तंग गलियों के निवासी रात में सामान ले जाने वाले ट्रकों के खड़े होने और सामान उतारने की वजह से अपने घरों तक पहुँचने में भारी मुश्किलों का सामना कर रहे हैं। नाइकर न्यू स्ट्रीट और मासी स्ट्रीट जैसी सड़कें रात 10 बजे के बाद जाम हो जाती हैं, जिससे एम्बुलेंस, निजी गाड़ियाँ और यहाँ तक कि निवासियों के दोपहिया वाहन भी अवरुद्ध हो जाते हैं। इस रोज़ाना की रुकावट के कारण आपातकालीन सेवाओं में देरी हुई है, जैसे कि एक एम्बुलेंस को एक बुजुर्ग माता-पिता तक पहुँचने में संघर्ष करना पड़ा।
