Goa Waste Plant Suspends Intake From 8 Local Bodies For 25 Days

GWMC has temporarily suspended waste intake from two municipal councils and six village panchayats at the Saligao solid waste management facility for 25 days. This decision, effective, is due to essential maintenance work and unforeseen operational issues affecting the plant's processing capacity. The facility will continue to operate at a reduced capacity of 100 tonnes per day, down from its usual 150 tonnes. Affected local bodies have been requested to make alternative arrangements for waste management during this period.

GWMC ने सालिगाओ सॉलिड वेस्ट मैनेजमेंट फैसिलिटी में दो नगर परिषदों और छह ग्राम पंचायतों से 25 दिनों के लिए कचरा लेना अस्थायी रूप से निलंबित कर दिया है। यह निर्णय, आवश्यक रखरखाव कार्य और अप्रत्याशित परिचालन समस्याओं के कारण है जो संयंत्र की प्रसंस्करण क्षमता को प्रभावित कर रही हैं। यह सुविधा प्रतिदिन 100 टन की कम क्षमता पर काम करना जारी रखेगी, जो कि सामान्य 150 टन से कम है। प्रभावित स्थानीय निकायों से इस अवधि के दौरान कचरा प्रबंधन के लिए वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था करने का अनुरोध किया गया है।
