Housing Launches Outpace Sales For 16th Straight Quarter: Knight Frank Report

Residential sales across India's top eight cities remained flat in the first nine months of 2026, with 258,238 units sold, according to Knight Frank India. However, supply continued to exceed demand, with 279,899 units launched during the period, a 4% increase year-on-year. Launches have now outpaced sales for 16 consecutive quarters. The National Capital Region saw an 11% decline in sales, primarily in the ₹5-10 crore segment, while other markets showed stability or slight growth.

नाइट फ्रैंक इंडिया के अनुसार, 2026 के पहले नौ महीनों में भारत के शीर्ष आठ शहरों में आवासीय बिक्री सपाट रही, जिसमें 258,238 यूनिट्स बिकीं। हालाँकि, आपूर्ति मांग से ज़्यादा बनी रही, इस अवधि में 279,899 यूनिट्स लॉन्च हुईं, जो पिछले साल की तुलना में 4% ज़्यादा है। लगातार 16वीं तिमाही में लॉन्च बिक्री से आगे निकल गए हैं। नेशनल कैपिटल रीजन में बिक्री में 11% की गिरावट देखी गई, खासकर ₹5-10 करोड़ के सेगमेंट में, जबकि अन्य बाजारों में स्थिरता या मामूली वृद्धि देखी गई।
