Gold Surges by ₹4800, Silver Crosses ₹1.93 Lakh Ahead of Dhanteras

Ahead of the festive season, gold prices in Delhi have surged by ₹4,800 to ₹1,46,600 per 10 grams, while silver has jumped ₹9,000 to ₹1,93,000 per kilogram. This sharp increase is attributed to rising demand from local jewelers and positive signals from international markets. Analysts suggest that despite the recent spike, gold prices are still down approximately 8% from their October high. The surge is partly linked to a weakening US dollar following the US midterm elections, which has boosted precious metal prices globally.
