The father of a 27-year-old Chennai-based social media influencer and financial advisor, V Harish, has alleged that constant cyberbullying and defamatory posts drove his son to suicide. Harish, who had over 1.3 million followers, was found dead in his rented villa. His father claims another influencer, Jason Samuel, repeatedly got Harish's social media accounts blocked and spread false accusations, causing severe mental distress. Harish himself reportedly blamed Samuel in a video before his death. Police are investigating the allegations and examining digital evidence.
