Bank Deposits to be Included in Consolidated Account Statement from 2027
Business Standard · business
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has permitted depositories to include bank deposit information in the Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) via NBFC-Account Aggregators, effective January 1, 2027. This move will allow demat account holders to view their holdings and bank deposits together. Currently, CAS consolidates mutual fund and stock market transactions, along with NPS. While fixed and recurring deposits will be integrated, savings accounts will not be automatically included. However, assets like EPF, PPF, post-office schemes, and physical assets will remain outside the CAS.
