AAP Protests Against CEC in Chandigarh; Sisodia, Cheema Detained

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a protest in Chandigarh against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alleging vote theft and accusing the BJP-led Centre of detaining protesters. आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) ने चंडीगढ़ में मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। आप का आरोप है कि वोट की चोरी हुई है और भाजपा नीत केंद्र सरकार ने प्रदर्शनकारियों को हिरासत में लिया है। पुलिस ने आप नेताओं मनीष सिसोदिया और पंजाब के मंत्री हरपाल सिंह चीमा को चुनाव आयोग के दफ्तर के बाहर हिरासत में लिया था। उन्हें दो घंटे बाद छोड़ दिया गया। सिसोदिया ने सरकार के इस कदम की आलोचना की और इसे आपातकाल जैसा बताया। उन्होंने दावा किया कि 13 करोड़ मतदाताओं के नाम मतदाता सूची से हटा दिए गए हैं। आप जंतर-मंतर पर विरोध प्रदर्शन का समर्थन करती है और कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग कर रही है।
