Three-Storey Building Gutted By Fire In Dharmapuri Traffic Disrupted For Hours

A three-storey building on Netaji Bypass Road in Dharmapuri was completely gutted by a fire on Wednesday afternoon. The blaze, which started around 4 pm, spread rapidly, causing panic and thick smoke. Firefighters battled the flames for over three hours, with multiple tenders deployed. The incident led to a significant traffic disruption for nearly three-and-a-half hours on the Dharmapuri-Salem bypass, affecting vehicular movement and causing congestion on surrounding streets. Two ambulances were also caught in the gridlock.

धर्मपुरी में नेताजी बाईपास रोड पर एक तीन मंजिला इमारत बुधवार दोपहर को आग की चपेट में आकर पूरी तरह जल गई। आग दोपहर करीब 4 बजे लगी और तेजी से फैल गई, जिससे अफरा-तफरी मच गई और घना धुआं फैल गया। फायर ब्रिगेड के कई वाहनों को लगाया गया और दमकलकर्मियों ने तीन घंटे से अधिक समय तक आग से लड़ाई लड़ी। इस घटना के कारण धर्मपुरी-सेलम बाईपास पर लगभग साढ़े तीन घंटे तक यातायात बुरी तरह प्रभावित रहा, जिससे वाहनों की आवाजाही रुक गई और आसपास की सड़कों पर जाम लग गया। दो एम्बुलेंस भी जाम में फंस गईं।
