Supreme Court to Address Form 6 Anomaly in Voter List Deletions October 28

The Supreme Court has assured voters facing issues with irregular deletions from Delhi's electoral roll that an order addressing their predicament will be issued on October 28. Advocate Prashant Bhushan highlighted that deleted voters are being forced to use Form 6, which incorrectly declares them as first-time applicants. The court agreed to hear the application on October 28, the last date for correcting draft voter list discrepancies. Of the 1.45 crore voters, over 47 lakh were excluded, with nearly 32 lakh categorised as permanently shifted.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिल्ली की मतदाता सूची से अनियमित रूप से नाम हटाए जाने से परेशान मतदाताओं को आश्वासन दिया है कि उनकी दुर्दशा को संबोधित करने वाला एक आदेश 28 अक्टूबर को जारी किया जाएगा। वकील प्रशांत भूषण ने बताया कि हटाए गए मतदाताओं को फॉर्म 6 का उपयोग करने के लिए मजबूर किया जा रहा है, जो उन्हें गलत तरीके से पहली बार के आवेदक घोषित करता है। अदालत ने 28 अक्टूबर को आवेदन सुनने पर सहमति व्यक्त की, जो मसौदा मतदाता सूची की विसंगतियों को ठीक करने की अंतिम तिथि है।
