TV9 Hindi · environment
A Lloyds Register Foundation World Risk Poll 2026 report reveals a significant gap between disaster warnings and people's ability to act. While 80% of those affected by disasters in the last five years received at least one warning, 36% could not take necessary safety steps. This inability is attributed to poverty, lack of safe shelters, inadequate transportation, and insufficient preparedness. The report surveyed over 143,000 people across 140 countries, highlighting that warnings from multiple sources increase the likelihood of people taking action.
Lloyds Register Foundation World Risk Poll
