Kerala Police Trial Humanoid Robots For Traffic Management and Patrolling

Kerala Police are set to deploy humanoid robots for traffic management and unmanned ground vehicles for patrolling on a trial basis. An MoU was signed with a Kochi-based firm, I Hub Robotics, to develop this technology. Three robots, Daksha, Thara Gen 1, and Daksha Guardian, along with a UGV named Kavach, were unveiled. This marks India's first deployment of humanoid robots for traffic policing, with aims to detect violations and alert control rooms. The UGV can also assist in disaster management and crowd control.

केरल पुलिस ट्रायल के तौर पर ट्रैफिक प्रबंधन के लिए ह्यूमनॉइड रोबोट और गश्त के लिए अनमैन्ड ग्राउंड व्हीकल (UGV) तैनात करने जा रही है। इस टेक्नोलॉजी को विकसित करने के लिए कोच्चि की फर्म I Hub Robotics के साथ एक MoU साइन किया गया है। तीन रोबोट, Daksha, Thara Gen 1, और Daksha Guardian, और Kavach नाम के एक UGV का अनावरण किया गया। यह ट्रैफिक पुलिसिंग के लिए ह्यूमनॉइड रोबोट की भारत की पहली तैनाती है, जिसका उद्देश्य उल्लंघनों का पता लगाना और कंट्रोल रूम को अलर्ट करना है। UGV आपदा प्रबंधन और भीड़ नियंत्रण में भी सहायता कर सकता है।
