A 65-year-old man in Ahmedabad has lost Rs 2.4 lakh to cyber scammers after seeking help to obtain a senior citizen pension card. The victim received a call from someone posing as a Bank of Baroda representative who sent an APK file via WhatsApp for verification. After installing the file and providing personal details, including MPIN and TPIN, the man discovered that Rs 2.4 lakh had been withdrawn from his account in four transactions.

अहमदाबाद में 65 साल के एक व्यक्ति को सीनियर सिटीजन पेंशन कार्ड बनवाने में मदद मांगने पर साइबर ठगों ने 2.4 लाख रुपये का चूना लगा दिया। पीड़ित को बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा के प्रतिनिधि बनकर किसी का फोन आया, जिसने सत्यापन के लिए WhatsApp पर एक APK फाइल भेजी। फाइल इंस्टॉल करने और MPIN और TPIN सहित व्यक्तिगत विवरण देने के बाद, व्यक्ति ने पाया कि उसके खाते से चार लेनदेन में 2.4 लाख रुपये निकाल लिए गए थे।
