Tripura to Invest Rs 100 Crore in Dumboor Hydel Project Revamp

The Tripura government plans to invest approximately Rs 100 crore to restore and modernize its sole hydroelectric project located at Dumboor in Gomati district. The National Hydroelectric Power Corporation has collaborated with the state government to assess the facility's restoration needs. Following the upgrade, the project, which originally had a 15 MW capacity, is expected to generate around 10-11 MW. Work is slated to commence by December 2026, aiming to enhance Tripura's renewable energy capacity and power infrastructure.

त्रिपुरा सरकार गोमती जिले के डम्बूड़ में अपने एकमात्र हाइड्रोइलेक्ट्रिक प्रोजेक्ट को ठीक करने और आधुनिक बनाने के लिए लगभग ₹100 करोड़ का निवेश करने की योजना बना रही है। नेशनल हाइड्रोइलेक्ट्रिक पावर कॉर्पोरेशन ने प्रोजेक्ट की बहाली की ज़रूरतों का आकलन करने के लिए राज्य सरकार के साथ सहयोग किया है। अपग्रेड के बाद, 15 MW की मूल क्षमता वाले इस प्रोजेक्ट से लगभग 10-11 MW बिजली पैदा होने की उम्मीद है। त्रिपुरा की नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा क्षमता और बिजली के बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से, दिसंबर 2026 तक काम शुरू होने की उम्मीद है।
